7.2/10

The hotel is set up in a large, sprawling property with a variety of food and drink options, making it a decent choice for a budget stay. While I appreciated the spaciousness of the room and the convenient golf cart transportation, the ongoing construction and poor room lighting really detracted from my overall experience. Additionally, the parking setup was frustrating due to the construction chaos.

Rooms

The room was a good size, though the lighting was quite poor.

5.0/10

I had such high hopes for this hotel, given its reputation, but I have to admit I was quite disappointed. The rooms also had their charms, but they seemed stuck in the past and could definitely use some updates. The service was underwhelming, and the dining options left a lot to be desired, not to mention the construction which made navigating the area confusing. Overall, the value for what I paid just didn't measure up.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had a retro vibe but felt dusty and in need of an update. Though it was nice to have an updated version, it just didn’t live up to expectations.
Service
5.0
Check-in was confusing, and the staff seemed unprepared to assist with issues. I encountered poor maid service, and communication with concierge was lacking.
Location
5.0
The hotel is somewhat difficult to enter due to ongoing construction, and the lack of clear signs made it tricky to navigate, especially since it’s integrated with a convention center.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were quite limited, mostly just grab-and-go items with no sit-down options. It felt overpriced for what was offered.
Facilities
5.0
The property is under construction, which left it feeling chaotic. There's no pool currently available, making it less desirable for a family stay.

My stay at the Town & Country Resort was memorable, especially since we celebrated our anniversary there. The location is just perfect, with a beautiful garden atmosphere and proximity to the San Diego Trolley and shopping. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they felt a bit dated for the price. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff going above and beyond. A few issues, like a lack of advertised amenities, did stand out, but overall, the experience was enjoyable.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a lovely walkout balcony, but they felt a bit outdated given the price I paid.
Service

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, really enhancing the experience.
Location
10.0
The location is quite convenient, right near Fashion Valley and the Trolley, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
7.0
Dining options are plentiful onsite, but the prices were a bit steep, particularly for drinks.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities like the pool area and outdoor fireplaces are beautiful and well-maintained, adding to the luxurious feel.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at the hotel. The grounds were beautiful and the recently renovated spaces were stylish, but the service was lacking and I encountered several cleanliness issues in my room. The location was convenient for accessing various attractions in San Diego, but the dining prices were absurdly high. Overall, the hotel has potential but needs improvement in service and upkeep.

Rooms
5.0
Our first room was outdated and musty, but we were pleased to get an upgraded room which looked better. However, it still had cleanliness issues that needed attention.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and did work hard, but the service felt inconsistent, especially when we faced issues with room cleanliness and delays in getting help.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is quite convenient, being close to many of San Diego's highlights and having easy access to public transport.
Dining
5.0
Dining prices were outrageous for what you received. I was shocked at how much even a simple breakfast cost.
Facilities
7.0
The property has lovely grounds and multiple pools; however, cleanliness was an issue that detracted from the overall experience.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. While the location was convenient for the Jazz Fest, the rooms were dated and had issues with cleanliness. The check-in process was frustratingly slow, and the food quality at the dining spots left much to be desired. I appreciated the friendly service from some staff members, but overall the value for the price paid was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms looked rundown, with old wallpaper and a general lack of upkeep. They were noisy and not as clean as I'd hoped.
Service
6.0
The hotel staff were mostly helpful and courteous, but the overall service experience was marred by long wait times and understaffing in dining areas.
Location
8.0
The location was great for accessing the Jazz Fest, making it convenient for festival-goers like me. However, parking was limited due to construction.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were disappointing, with long lines and a lack of cleanliness. The food quality did not meet expectations for the prices charged.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities showed signs of being outdated, with some areas under construction, which impacted the overall appeal.
